Merry Christmas!

What a wonderful time of year to remember the Savior and the sacrafices he has made for us. As well as spending time with the ones we love! This holiday is such a cozy one and I love it! We had a fabulous Christmas. We spent the night at Ty's parents and then went to my families home that afternoon. It was nice to be able to spend time with both of our families. We are so blessed to have them both so close! We went and saw Marley and Me and it is such a funny, happy, and touching movie. We would highly recommend it, especially if you have ever had a dog! Ty's family had their family Christmas party and we had a great time especially during the white elephant exchange. We ended up with sour cream and onion flavored crickets! MMM, our favorite! Here are a few pics from our wonderful Christmas! We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and Have a Happy New Year!

Gobble 'Til You Wobble

Happy belated Thanksgiving to all! I hope everyone enjoyed themselves and ate lots o food! I know I did cause it was one of the best days! I was so grateful to have a non-sick day and they are continuing to get better! (Crossing my fingers!) We had a fabulous day! Ty went and played football, I helped get food and the house ready and I actually felt good enough to get myself ready for once! We ate dinner with my family and then later that day we went to a movie with Ty's fam and then had pie after! We saw Four Christmas and we highly recommend it! We have seen it twice and we were laughing so hard at the puking part! We are both very grateful for our relationship and our families and for having the gospel in our lives! We are so grateful for the jobs that we have, the house that we live in and for never going hungry. It is always such a great time of year to think about how blessed we truly all are! I am also very grateful and very appreciative for the best husband anyone could have! He has been my knight in shining armor over the past few weeks especially! He is so patient, loving, caring and supportive to me! Thanks babe for who you are and all that you do for me! I love you! We are grateful to have you all as friends as well! Happy Thanksgiving! This Weekend!

Fri I went to help my mom at her wards fabulous friday. She was helping the women in the ward make these cookers! They look like mini me bean bags but you actually can cook in them. They are really cool she has cooked carrots, potatoes, and chicken so far! You only have to get them boiling for like 2 mins and then you leave it in their for an hour or more, depending on what it is, and it is perfect. This is an emergency thing! I am so making some so if I ever needed to I would kind of have a stove in a way!

This last Saturday my mom and I took my nephew and niece to Wheeler Farm to make a scarecrow, pick a pumpkin, play games and see all the animals. It was so much fun! Here are a few pics from the day. I love these two so much and my mom! They are so much fun and the cutest kids ever!

Then Sunday we had our Annual Pumpkin Carving Contest with our extended family! One of our greatest traditions! I will also include some pics of this as well. Hope everyone has a fabulous Halloween and hope to see everyones costumes posted if you havent already!
P.S. To those of you that have tagged me I will get to it eventually I promise! I will be out of town til Fri and then I will get on it.

Hunting/Watchmen

I am sorry I am a horrible blogger lately we have had a lot going on. Tyler, Rick, his Dad,and Ryan, his best friend, all went up to Ty's dad ranch last weekend for the Hunting Opener. They had a lot of fun going out and finding the animals and keeping watch on his land. He is trying to preserve his land a bit and get his animal packs larger so he will be able to start selling tags. They always have trespassers that they have to keep an eye on. Gladly they didnt have any, suprisingly cause every time we go down there's someone getting caught by Rick and that is no bueno. The picture is of Rick's massive garage he is building with a loft in the upstairs. Rick has done all of it with some help of his friends. Ty's dad is such a good contractor!

Well while Ty was gone we had a friend get in a really bad accident. I got a call Sat morning at 3 am from his friend Brad looking for Ty. He was asking if he could come give his brother Brett a blessing. His parents were out of town and couldnt get there for 3 hours and so I got my parents and little brother and headed to the hospital. He ended up having brain surgery. He had fractured his skull and broke an arteri that was beginning to leak into his brain. By the time they got him under the knife a 1/4 of his brain was full of blood. So they took a portion of his skull out and removed a blood clot and released the pressure on the brain. They told us that he wouldnt be awake for a few days and who knows how he would come out of it. They said he would have a 20% chance of dying and a 50% chance of coming out the way he was before. Brad did an amazing job and keeping himself together and making one of the hardest choices of his life. He saved his brother! He woke up about 7 or 8 hours after the surgery and was AMAZINGLY HEALED! If you know Brett then you would agree he was himself cause his first word written on a note pad was Metallica! I just have to say what a sad but amazing weekend that was for Brett and his family, friends, and us. We have seen an amazing change in a boy that only God would know how to reach. We are all so happy of his outcome and cant wait to see him up and being Brett! We for sure had a wonderful experience and a new way to look at life and what really matters!

Going Once, Going Twice... SOLD!

It is official we have sold our house! With it being on the market for only a month it closed on Thurs. and we had to be out by Fri. We pretty much moved all day Thurs. and cleaned Fri. I cant even tell you how exhausting and stressful that was but I guess that is what you get when you have pushy buyers! Dont get me wrong we are so grateful we got it sold in this market, but we just really HATE moving! It sucked especially cause we had literally a day! I also cant believe how much STUFF we have collected. It has only been 2 years and it is unreal! We finished filling our storage unit and I turn around to look at Ty and all he can say is, "How did we accumulate all this!" I couldnt agree more! We are now with my parents til we can find somewhere to go. We havent even had a chance to look for anything, but now we can take our time and have the worry of our house off our shoulders! Oh I am so happy we are having such an amazing fall! We all totally deserve it. :D

Life is Out of Control!

So I really didnt think that it had been that long since I have posted something but looks like I missed all of August and now its Sept. August was so crazy it is still a blur in my head. We have been not stop lately. This is our Sept so far. We have put our house up for sale. We dont know where we are going yet but we are giving ourselves plenty of time to figure it out. Ty started school. He is liking the U so much and we are gettting closer and closer to graduation! YAY! We took off to St George for a Labor Day break. It was nice to go see Ty's cousin and his family. We all went boating and then the boys played golf nonstop while Mindy and I went shopping nonstop. It was great. Then to top it off we went to Mesquite randomly one night and played bingo. Bingo is awesome! I was one number away from 500 and Mindy was 3 numbers away from 15,000. I will for sure be going back to do that again. Thanks Mindy for introducing me to that. This last weekend my cousin Tia got married, my cousin Taylor blessed his 2nd little girl and my cousin Brandon was ordained a Priest. It was so fun to have everyone together. It has been such a long time since the extended family gathered. So we have been a little one thing after the next and Marley can vouch cause he is so mad/sad that we have been gone so much. I will be busy again for the next couple of weeks cause I have 2 horse shows this month starting tmrw and then one the following week. The first one is at the state fair and the other is at south jordan equestrian center. Hope you all are enjoying this beautiful weather! I know we are!

Vacay Week!

We have just had one the funnest weeks! Last Sunday through Wednesday we went up to Midway with my family! It was a eventful few days! We went golfing at The Homestead and Wasatch, which were both beautiful courses. We spent a day at The Olympic Park also. We watched the kids do their jumping into the pool (I would love to try that), then we went and got the golden passes to do the bobsledding, their version of the alpine slide and the 2 zip lines. It was so much fun. The bobsledding was amazing, it kind of hurt your head but so worth the experience. And of course we ate at Baja Cantina and shopped at the Outlets. That was a great time with the fam and very relaxing. I love Midway, I would not mind moving up there or having a place up there one day. Then Thurs did a bit of celebrating but just trying to recover from the past few days and then we headed up to Spring Canyon, which is located near Price. Ty's family had a reunion over the weekend. It was so nice to see some family that we hadnt seen in a while. We got caught up with family, shot shotguns, went four wheeling, played games and got nice and dirty. We had a great time with everyone. All in all it was a fabulous week and a very much needed break for both of us!! I am working on getting pics put on. Anyway it is back to work on Mon and we are not looking forward to it!

Kayaking and Tubing

Saturday we decided to take a ride down the provo river with some friends. Tyler went down in a kayak and I a tube. Our eventful day started at 1pm and did not get done til 630pm. Im sure your wondering why it took so long when we should have finished in half that time. Well I will make it a short tale cause it would be quite a long post if I told all the details. 5 minutes down the river one of the beginners capsized which caused a 2 hour wait. Tyler had to dive in the river to save someone elses kayak from floating to the tune of an $800 replacement fee. Then, in an effort to help stablize the amateur, i was drug through rapids and tree branches. I think I may have broke my toe on some rocks. To crown the day with glory our friends rescued a drowning lady! To summize, I am sunburnt like crazy, broken toed which is causing me to be a gimp and now match my red shirts when i wear shorts. Ty has turned out to be a pretty good kayaker! Last we heard the lady our friends saved is doing just fine. All in all it was not the best first time down the river, however we are for sure planning on doing it again! Sorry I dont have any pics but I may put a picture of my toe but not really sure its what people want to see. Hope you all have a great week! Oh and the random question for the week is "Where does all the rubber go that comes off our tires?"

Very True!

I received this email today that is quite honestly so true in our world today! Thought I would share this random thought with all of you. I love to ponder about random things so once a week I will share a random thought and please feel free to share yours back!

Three Things to Ponder:

1. Cows

2. The Constitution

3. The Ten Commandments

COWS - Is it just me, or does anyone else find it amazing that during the mad cow epidemic our government could track a single cow, born in Canada almost three years ago, right to the stall where she slept in the state of Washington? And they tracked her calves to their stalls. But they are unable to locate 11 million illegal aliens wandering around out country. Maybe we should give each of them a cow.

THE CONSTITUTION- They keep talking about drafting a Constitution for Iraq. Why don't we just give them ours? It was written by a lot of really smart guys, it has worked for over 200 years, and we're not using it anymore.

THE TEN COMMANDMENTS - The real reasons that we can't have the Ten Commandments posted in a courthouse is this: You cannot post "Thou Shalt Not Steal", "Thou Shalt Not Commit Adultery", and "Thou Shalt Not Lie" in a building full of lawyers, judges, and politicians...It creates a hostile work environment.

Where have the months gone?

Wow! I cant believe March was the last time I posted something. It for sure has been a crazy year so far and as usual time goes by so fast. Tyler has been golfing any chance he gets and has improved so much in such a short time. He has also been working hard as ever! He will be attending the U this fall to finish up his degree. Yay! Marley has gotten so big and is the best dog! We have had so much fun with him and he has helped us get ready for kids in a way. I have been working as usual and my business has grown so much this year. I have so much fun with each one of my clients and grateful to them for staying with me! The horses are doing awesome this year and it has been a nice relaxing show season compared to last year! We are hoping to go on a little vacation together here pretty soon. Just cant decide where we want to go yet. Well I will try to do better at this blogging stuff. It is so fun when you have more people doing it with you. I am going to be updating our blog so sorry if it looks a little weird over the next little while. Hope you are all having a great summer!

SPRING!!!

Could it be that spring might be here? Who is to say? Well I believe mother nature more than anything and it is definetly on its way because all of my horses are shedding out and that is a big sign of it coming! Anyway things are going well with us. Hope you are all having a great year so far. We are so excited for this year and have some great things planned with one another. Ty is working on finishing up his associates degree and working hard on fence sales and Primerica. Any spare second he has you can find him in open fields of green chasing white objects around and trying to win Marley's love over me. I am working at the salon trying to keep up on everyone and then also doing bookwork for my dad and keeping the horses in shape, oh taking care of Marley as well, which has been so much fun but alot of work at the same time. If I have any spare time I try to get more things done around the house and hanging out with Marley. Marley has been a great thing for our family. He has definetly gotten bigger and I swear gets bigger and bigger through every nap he takes! Well maybe next time I will have something more interesting to say but til then enjoy the great weather that is here and heading our way.

MARLEY

We have been a little busy lately. . . We have added a family member that has been a little life changing for us. "Marley"! He is a standard poodle, who is 3 months right now. Marley has been the best puppy! He is very cuddley and calm, but then he can also be quite energetic. He sleeps alot! I think it is because he is growing so fast, I swear he gets bigger everyday. We are in the middle of potty training right now and let me tell you what a treat that is! He is going to be very big. He has the biggest paws and has a hard time with controling himself cause they are two big for his body right now. Its so cute and funny! I want to thank my Mom, Dad, Abbie and Gretzky for allowing Marley to come stay when we can't be around. They have been very patient and playful with him! Thank You! Ty and I keep wondering why we haven't done this yet. It is a amazing what a small thing can bring two people even closer. We are so happy to have Marley in our lives and can't wait to add more additions. (Look below for a pic of Marley)

SNOW

WOW! Can you believe this snow, what a crazy season. Well if you can all believe it Ty is even tired of the snow and wishes it would just melt. At the beginning of the season Ty has become an avid golfer and unfortunantely he chose the wrong time to be addicted. If you know him very well then you know that doesnt slow him down one bit. He goes to the driving range to practice at least once a week. When he has his mind set on something there is no stopping him! He has done his fair share of snowmobiling too!
