Happy Belated Halloween!

We had a wonderful Halloween! The beginning of the month all of us girls in the fam went to Witches night! It was so fun and we will be doing it annually. Like a week before halloween we did our annual Pumpkin Carving Contest! It was so much fun but it was the smallest turn out ever! It was kind of sad but we had a blast with those who came. Then on acutal halloween Ty had to work so Tavin and I just had a day together. We went to a baptism of a friend that was really neat and it was great to hear her beautiful testimony, then we came home and hung out with Nana and Papa who were having a blast scarying the little kids in the neighborhood! While they did that I finally got a chance to put Tavvy in his costume. He made a fabulous bat! He was even squeeling like one it was hilarious. Another milestone for Tavin was he started solids and is loving every minute of it. He also loves his jumper and wrestling with mom and dad! I love my boys so much! They make my life so splendiforous!

The Past Two Months!

So I thought time went by fast before, but now that I have a child it goes by even faster. So we have had a crazy, crazy past two months and I hate that I haven't had the time to update. We blessed Tavin on August 22nd at home with family and close friends. Tyler did an amazing job, as always! Then at the end of August we went with my family to California. We go every other year and it was so fun. We of course went to Disneyland, the beach and this year we decided to go to an Angels game as well. Tavin was magnificent on the plane! We also took him on his first rides at Disneyland. The first one was Peter Pan, but he was asleep. Then we took him on a Small World and he absolutely loved it. He was wided eyed the whole time and smiling. I love that ride cause of all the different cultures you see and how great would it be to be a child and have no judgement, but joy to see all the diversity! Ty has been soooooo busy with school and work. We take advantage of every minute we get with one another since we don't get that many. I have been busy being a mom and working when I'm not doing that. I feel like I keep going and going and going! Tavin just had his 4 month checkup and is doing wonderful! He is now 27 inches long which is off the charts, and 15 1/2 pounds! Tavin spoils us so much! He is seriously the best son we could ask for. He is now talking, laughing, smiling, drooling, razzing (aka spitting), holding his own bottle and trying to sit up all on his own. We are excited for Tavin's first halloween. We are still trying to decide on what he will be, but we will have pictures and I promise that is won't be two months later. I'm excited to check out all your post and see what you all have been up to.

2 Months and Counting . . .

Our boy is just amazing! We are loving parenthood and getting the most enjoyment as Tavin grows! He already has such a personality! It's such an amazing experience to watch him get stronger and more aware of life. Everyday is a new delight! He is already sleeping through the night and hardly ever cries!(Knock on wood) We are very spoiled with him! He makes you want to have lots of kids! We went to our 2 month check up and we had some great results except the ending was not so fun! He really didn't enjoy the shots at all. It was so sad to watch that. Luckily I didn't have to hold him down the nurse did! The results are. . . Height 24 inches(99%), Weight 12lbs 10oz(90%) and Head 15.5 inches(50%)! No wonder why he doesn't look like a 2 month old. He is growing so fast! We wish it would slow down a little bit, but at the same time we are excited for the future pleasures! We love hime so much and he seriously gets cuter and cuter everyday and the smiles and the cooing just melt our hearts! I love my family more and more everyday its such an amazing feeling!

Time Flies!

So I really cant believe that our boy is a month old already! He has gotten so big so fast I cant believe it. Tavin still is the best baby we could have ever asked for. He is getting more and more of a personality everyday. When he is happy he does this liitle purring noise and when he is angry he does this little growling noise! Every time he does either of those we just melt. Our favorite thing is we will lay him on our stomach and we will start talking to him and he will start pushing himself up our chest so he can get as close as he can to our face and he just starts giving us kisses and eating our face. It is the cutest thing ever! He actually starting cooing at me today. It is the sweetest noise to my ears! We love this boy so much! Ty watched him all day yesterday by himself, while I was at work. They both did great while I was gone and that makes me so happy. I had no doubt that Ty couldnt handle it. He is seriously the best dad! He loves his son so so much! It was so hard to go back to work. I seriously am so tempted to quit. Marley has been such a good dog to him. He is getting more and more comfortable with him. I actually caught him cuddling with him one day on the bed.(see pic below) All and all we love our little family and cant wait to add more! We are so happy to be parents! We had our 3 year anniversary on the 29th! Its crazy that its been that many years. I know it isnt that many but time is flying by! It has been another fabulous year and I love being married to my Ty! I love him more and more everyday! Im so excited to keep on our journey! Happy Anniversary Babe! I love YOU!

Tavin James Gatherum

Our boy is finally here! We were induced on June 11, 2009. He weighed 8 lbs. 5 oz., 21 inches long and has so much blonde hair. We started at 10 in the morning and were finished at 7 that night and we pushed for about 45 mins. Everything went well and we had no complications thank goodness. We are truly blessed to have this sweet little boy in our lives. We seriously cant get enough of him!!! We stare at him constantly. Tavin has been such a good baby so far. He hardly ever cries, he sleeps really well, he eats like there is no tmrw and when he is awake he is so chill. He just stares at you and takes it all in! We love our Tavin and we are so excited to have him in our family!

Waiting for him to come!

Almost There!

Oh happy day we are a few days away! We are so so excited except for the fact that we are both terribly sick! I am so miserable I cant even find the words to explain. Well we payed a little visit to the doctor today and he said that we have only dilated 1/2 more but we have dropped so that is good, but since I havent dilated enough then we will not be getting induced til Thurs the 11th. So our goal is to do anything we can in our power to get this boy here! So if any of you have any ideas of how to get it done then send the advice our way. We would greatly appreciate it! Here is my most recent photo that was taken a week ago. Sorry that I havent been more in touch lately I have been so so busy trying to get everyone caught up at work. Hope everyone is doing well and cant wait to get caught up on all your lives. We will update as soon as we can after we have the baby! Thanks for everyones advice and support over the past 9 months!
Ty got to go to Maryland for 10 days for work. While he was over there he got to visit New York, Washington D.C., and Pennsylvania! He had so much fun! He has never been back east and now wants to move there! Here are some pictures from his trip. He got to be in Washington D.C. over Memorial Day weekend and he said it is absolutely the best time and most patriotic time to go! Also the Iwo Jima statue of the soldiers pushing the flag up is the biggest thing I have ever seen in my life! The picture does it no justice. If you guys havent ever been back there you really need to go. It is soooo beautiful and there are so many amazing things to see!
